The club was originally founded in 1955 when members met in a hayloft!
Since the early 1960’s the club has been based in it’s current room at the Canal Basin!
Our four current layouts are housed in the club room and some are available to attend exhibitions!
The club has quite a long history, going back to even before 1955, when the club formed and we were housed in a loft all the way through to today.
You can read about our history on the dedicated page, click the button below...
Come to the clubroom to learn more - the club holds meetings every Tuesday and Thursday nights, 7-10.30! - More details here
We have our own dedicated clubroon in which we have four layouts which all belong to the club.
In the clubroom we have a small area for the preparation of refreshments, a toilet and a work area which also includes our library of material about railways and modelling.
We have been here in this building since the early 1960’s. This is the historic Canal Basin building, now run by the Coventry Canal Basin Trust
Each month we try to hold our running nights. These are nights when we do our very best to make the layouts usable, other nights are reserved for working on the layouts.
Running Night occurs in the first week of the month that has both a Tuesday and Thursday.
So if the month starts on either a Wednesday or Thursday it is NOT a running night.
Come along and visit the clubroom at this years Open Weekend on 16/17 September
